Overview

If 65% of the island is a rainforest, why focus your attention on just one? This 5-6hr tour will have you feeling like a local by the time your done as it detours the overcrowded "El Yunque" tour buses and river accesses. It takes you in depth to one of the many rural rainforest areas Puerto Rico is locally known for as "campo". This tour is for the less active traveler that still wants to get out, explore and experience the real communities and people. A 5-8 min hike, through a easy/medium trail will lead you to our hidden gem. After working up an appetite, the group will have lunch (at your expense) in family owned roadside shaq aka "chinchorro" called La Terraza.
Your driver/guide will be providing live commentary, and instructions to keep safe all through out the tour. A bathroom stop at a local gas station is done on the way to the fall.
Comfortable walking clothes and shoes, have your bathing suits on and bring towels and water shoes is recommended to maximize the day.

Amazing Experience with a wonder guide.

WOW! WOW! WOW! This tour was incredible. Hector was our tour guys and we felt like he was an old friend showing us some amazing, local non-tourist spots of his home. Everything about the experience was fantastic and authentic. Swimming under a secluded waterfall off the beaten path, getting home made popsicles form a local and eating some of the best food a restaurant in the mountains. Even the drive through parts of Puerto Rico most tourists don't see was a great experience. Would highly recommend any tour Alicia has to offer but this one is a must.
We had a blast!

I booked this trip last minute for a group of 9 for my sister's bachelorette. Nelson came to pick us up and we had an absolutely amazing time! Ali told me that we would likely be the only ones at the waterfall and she was right! My sister's friends (and me) had a great time taking a trip through the mountains, swimming in waterfalls, and indulging in the local cuisine! Our tour guide, Nelson, was incredibly accommodating, helped us with some group photos, and helped with translation at the local restaurants.
Alicia recommended this trip because I had a recent knee surgery. It was very doable, but I am excited for the next time I'm back so that I can check out some of the other tour options!
We would do this one again!

What a great trip! Our guide, Gonzo, was knowledgable and very personable. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and knowledge. The waterfall was great! There were only a few others there when we visited and we had the waterfall all to ourselves. The next stop was also beautiful and included delicious coconut, strawberry and mango homemade popsicles. And finally we had a wonderful lunch at a roadside stop.
Wonderful Tour

My daughter and I had an amazing time thanks to our tour guide Nelson. The tour itself is wonderful - and I strongly recommend it - but Nelson made it truly special. He was gracious, enthusiastic and informative. Due to unforeseen circumstances this was the only activity we were able to do on our visit to Puerto Rico and I'm so happy we did it.
Hidden Gem

My husband & I like to do off the Beaton path activities.
This was & we loved it! Very secluded hidden gem - we were the only ones there.
Hector was fantastic & we enjoyed the history of the island.
Beautiful hidden waterfalls, locals were nice and inviting.
We ate authentic food on the way back at a little roadside family owned place.
Thank you Hector, our new friend, for your hospitality.
