Experience two of the greatest natural attractions in Puerto Rico, all in one day! This full-day package brings you the best of the East Coast. Take the guesswork out of your planning with this all-inclusive tour including round trip transportation, a fully guided rainforest tour, and the world-famous Bio Bay kayak tour.

El Yunque is without a doubt Puerto Rico’s greatest natural wonder. It is the only tropical rainforest, and the most studied forest, in the United States National Forest System. It is the most biologically diverse forest, hosting hundreds of plants and animals, some only found here in Puerto Rico!

Bioluminescence is one of planet Earth’s best-kept secrets. Tiny organisms called “dinoflagellates” make the water glow at night and fortunately, they have found the perfect place to live in the Fajardo Bio Bay, so we are able to experience them all year round.

Awesome experience! Picked up on time. Stop at a local stand for smoothies before heading to the rainforest. Parts of trail is easy and flat ground walking but other parts you will need to scale rocks. You will get totally submerged in water! The natural rock water slide, the cliff jump into the water and the swinging rope into the water were all amazing! A very good amount of free time there with fresh fruit snack. After the rain forest we were off to eat at a local restaurant, amazing food! Food is at your expense. Then onto the bio bay tour. Amazing what happens after the sun goes down in this lagoon! You will definitely get your workout on this trip but what an amazing experience!
Just do it!

Hike was so beautiful!
Bio Bay was so amazing!!!!
Guide Luis and Paola on Rainforest and Hike were the best.
Miguel on the Bio Bay Tour (Kayaking Puerto Rico) helped us have the best experience.
A must do! And do both excursions

Luis and Bradley were great tour guides that provided a fun experience at El Yunque! They made sure everyone knew each other’s names beforehand and provided options along the way if you wanted to stop at certain points or have a more fun and challenging experience. Dinner was at a fun local restaurant and we were strongly recommend ending the day with the Bio Bay kayak tour. You’re already wet and dirty (there’s no way you won’t be-at least if you really embrace the fun) so doing both excursions in one day was worth the time.
Once in a lifetime experience

My husband, friend and I did the all day El Yunque Rainforest & Bio Bay Combo tour. We had a great time, but I will admit it was quite challenging for my out of shape, 51 year old body. I was proud of myself for doing all of the activities; natural waterslide, cliff jumping, rope swing, as well as kayaking with my husband, but it was definitely challenging for me. Thankfully our rainforest guides Luis and Paola were awesome, very patient and encouraging.
For those of you considering this tour, here are some pointers;
*While the shuttle that picks you up at the hotels is airconditioned, if you end up sitting in the very back seat like we did, the AC shoots out overtop of you and you can't feel any cool. The one hour drive to the rainforest was incredibly hot....especially for a 51 yr old woman.
*I mistakenly expected that there was going to be some kind of tour guide information during the drive. Expect the ride to be hot, very bumpy while loud music plays the entire time.
*Listen to the tour guides at the rainforest and leave everything you don't want submerged in water, in the shuttle. They take plenty of pictures for you during the hike. You will be completely soaked and muddy during the rainforest hike/swim. While I wore my bathing suit under my clothes, but there wasn't an opportunity to take off the outer clothes, so wear clothing that you are ready to go swimming in. The rainforest portion of the day was my favorite, even though it was challenging.
*The bioluminescence kayaking portion of the day was fun, but after an already long tiring day, my husband and I were not communicating well with one another while trying to kayak out to the lagoon together. Unless you are already an experienced kayaker, expect some learning curves and that you may end up in a Mangrove tree. LOL
*Knowing then what I know now, I would have brought my phone/camera with me on the kayak portion. The tour guides advise you not to, but unless you end up flipping your kayak (which I didn't see anyone do) you won't be completely submerged and can prevent your phone from getting too wet. During this portion of the day, the kayak company does NOT take pictures of you, therefore, I didn't get any pictures of us during this time. Thankfully some of the other's in our group did bring their phones and shared a few pics with us. Being out on the lagoon as the sunset was incredible and seeing the bioluminescent plankton was awesome. Very glad we experienced this, but would do it differently next time.
*Come prepared to tip. We had two guides in the rainforest, four guides kayaking and the shuttle bus driver...and we tipped them all. We ended up doing $10/guide/person.
Hope you go on this tour and enjoy yourselves as much as we did!
Both parts of the tour...

Both parts of the tour were enjoyable. The guides were all great and looked out for our safety. The van that we rode in was packed and the AC could not cool it down so it was a terrible long and uncomfortable ride. The El Yunque tour was a very slow pace and we spent a lot of time waiting around because the group was so large. The Bio Bay tour was great just for the kayaking alone but the bioluminescence was really interesting to see.
