Kids friendly Old San Juan Sightseeing Educational, 2 in 1- history and science, Family Fun Tour designed to keep all ages engaged and learning! Kids will participate in an array of exciting handpicked on-the-go fun science experiments to make learning about Puerto Rico's history, geology, geography, flora and fauna!
After meet and greet at the entrance to the Compania del Turismo at La Princesa promenade, kids will receive adjusted to their age Scavenger Hunt challenge - to search for hidden points of interest along the route with 32! unique landmarks. Participants will enjoy guided narrated tour of a five centuries long history of the Old San Juan and Puerto Rico by a certified guide, Ed.D - Professor Nat. Yummy frozen traditional Puerto Rican natural treat for kids and coffee for adults awaits for you halfway through the adventure!
We will walk along the monuments, fortifications and rare sights, to learn the Puerto Rican and Old San Juan history and planification.

San Juan Bay
Kids will receive here their scavenger kits to start fun learning adventure.
San Juan Bay (Spanish: Bahía de San Juan) is the bay and main inlet adjacent to Old San Juan in northeastern Puerto Rico.It is among the busiest Caribbean ports. Thousands of fishermen ply the brackish waters where fresh water meets the sea. San Juan Bay's beauty and ecological diversity attracts tourism and a variety of recreational activities.
El Paseo de La Princesa, the most beloved promenade in Puerto Rico, dates back to 1853. This beautifully restored walk is a favorite place for locals day and night and welcomes millions of visitors from all over the world. La Princesa was a former prison. The initial city jail was built in 1837 and then expanded in 1854. It incarcerated up to 240 inmates until 1965. Now restored La Princesa Jail is home of the Puerto Rican Tourism Company and a remarkable museum.

La Fortaleza - Palacio de Santa Catalina
La Fortaleza is the official residence of the governor of Puerto Rico. It was built between 1533 and 1540 to defend the harbor of San Juan. It is the oldest executive mansion in continuous use in the New World. It was listed by UNESCO in 1983 as part of the World Heritage Site.

La Rogativa
Along the walk around the magnificent Ancient Wall of San Juan we'll see numerous unique landmarks. Raices and El Crecimiento monuments, Servants of Mary monastery; the Isabella II monument hidden under a picturesque "walking tree" and colonial buildings dated to 16-18 centuries. Here kids will participate in a series of fun experiments on the go followed by a tasting of a frozen authentic treat.

Cuartel de Ballaja
Located in front of Castillo San Felipe del Morro, the Cuartel de Ballajá was built from 1854 to 1864 in order to house the Spanish and Puerto Rican regiments in Old San Juan. photo stop on the grounds of El Morro Fort.
Nearby is also the famous Casa Blanca. It was built in 1521, is the first fortification in San Juan, and was Juan Ponce de Leon’s residence. Sadly, Juan Ponce de Leon died before he was able to occupy it.

Calle del Cristo
Calle del Cristo, referred to as the "Cristo", is host to several monuments of Old San Juan, such as the Iglesia San Jose, and the Capilla de Cristo. We'll visit the unique inner courtyard and the stores.

Plaza de Armas
One of Old San Juan's most emblematic plazas, Plaza de Armas, dates back to Spanish colonial times when it was designed as the city's main town square. To better enjoy the Plaza de Armas, we'll taste famous coffee of the Popes and the Kings from the local legendary spot. We'll end our educational fun tour here and I will happily recommend you places to eat around.
