What To Expect

Castillo San Felipe del Morro
When visiting Caribbean Chiliboats in Old San Juan you get to see Old San Juan from another point of view; the water. In a marvelous and fun adventure while exercising. Our meeting place is in La Puntilla fishermen's Village; right in front of the beautiful Puerto Rico Tourism Company building, that used to be jailhouse La Princesa. Once you arrive we will guide you to 1 hour of unique and amazing eco friendly experience in a Chiliboats. A wonderful ride with an impressive view of the Historic Heritage of Humanity; San Felipe del Morro Castle: One of Spain's major military engineering marvels from colonization to the Second World War. During most of its nearly 500-year history, it was an important military outpost for Spain and later the United States.

La Fortaleza - Palacio de Santa Catalina
La Fortaleza means “The Fortress,” and it was certainly intended as such when it was completed in 1540 as part of a massive construction effort to secure the island’s defenses. In 1846, it was remodeled and converted for full-time use as the governor’s house. The building, which is also known as El Palacio de Santa Catalina (Santa Catalina Palace), has housed no less than 170 governors of Puerto Rico.

Bastion de Santa Elena (historical) is a military installation, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The elevation above sea level is 17 meters.

La Puerta de San Juan
The entrance to Old San Juan is known as Puerta de Aguas or Puerta de San Juan (San Juan Gate). It is one of the most colorful and known of all the entrances to the walled city and it has stood tall for centuries. The gate is 16 feet tall and 20 feet thick and leads you to the romantic Paseo La Princesa. The inscription above it reads “Benedictus Oui Venit In Nomine Domini” which translates to “Welcome those who come in the name of God,” a testament to the island’s Catholic roots.

Paseo de la Princesa
Enjoy San Juan's beautiful Paseo de la Princesa. Boardwalk where you can start or end your walk at the historic Puerta de San Juan. The Paseo de la Princesa is lined with lamp posts and fountains as well as street vendors and has views of the San Juan Bay with areas surrounded by majestic trees.
