What To Expect

Cueva del Indio
Get ready for the most unique experience in your life! First we meet up in Condado. From there you ride with us. The drive is about an hour and takes us to the heart of Arecibo. Arecibo is one of the cities with the richest historical legacies in all of Puerto Rico. The drive itself is very beautiful, but our first destination is absolutely breathtaking. When we get there we do a short hike (wear good sneakers) to the mouth of the cave! Keep your caneras handy cause the views are out of this world. The cave of the taino indian is a small cave system that is a historical and archeological wonderland! This cave is literally COVERED in taino stone carvings! The place is breathtaking and the scenery even more so! After we exit the cave we make our way to the 7 arches to take in the amazing views. After another short hike back to the car we head out to a beautiful beach in Arecibo as well! This tour is like having a taste of the Caribbean lifestyle/history/culture.

Non-touristy unforgettable adventure

What a tremendous experience. It was a challenging hike through parts of the rainforest, rocky areas, and water, but John was there to help us every step of the way. It was amazing walking through a waterfall to get in to the cave, wearing the headlamps to see the gorgeous inner caves, and painting our cheeks with the rust-colored rock. John was an expert of the area and so knowledgable bout the history. We couldn't have asked for more! Don't miss this tour if you like a challenging non-tourist unforgettable adventure.

This was by far the BEST experience of my trip!
It has a spectacular scenery, well trained guide and amazing Indian petroglyphs inside the cave. Plus the beach was beyond beautiful. It's worth every penny. I totally recommend it!
Beautifu and interesting hike. Challenge to climb inside the cave - worth it!!

Our guides were so fun we did two tours with them. The cave is really interesting with ancient drawings. Do not bring young children. The inside of the cave is accessed through a smaller hole and it takes a bit of courage to climb in and around inside, then out again. The surrounding cliffs are also awe-inspiring. Your guides will climb inside a small water opening and go though to the other side - thrilling!

Honestly this was the highlight of our entire trip. This trip has it all. Adrenaline, history and incredible scenery. Brandon and Jean really know their stuff!

Great views and nice places to see. My only complain was our transportation van had a broken AC so not a pleasant time while traveling. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very patient with everyone
