Adventuring with Andre!

Stunning views and a great experience. Andre did a great job of setting expectations and making sure everyone was included. We went during hurricane season so there was a significant chance of rain. He communicated the day before and throughout the day and had some contingency plans.

This is a great outing for anyone in reasonable shape. For the super rugged folks you might get more of a kick out of the rappelling tour.

The hike itself was not super long, maybe three miles, but there was significant elevation and the forest floor was slippery from recent rains. At one point there is an optional short jaunt to a waterfall swimming hole where you either scale a tricky (to me) rock section or swim through a pool. Andre showed us how to get over the rocks and we felt like we’d accomplished something, and it was super worth it to swim in the waterfall pool.

There are a couple of sections where the terrain is steep enough that there are hand ropes to hold. All in all we felt challenged but well within our ability throughout. Apple Watch died towards the end but it was about three miles and 1800 feet elevation gain total (including all the ups and downs). The heat and humidity definitely made it a real sweat but showering in the waterfalls was so refreshing.

Wear any shoes with decent traction that can get muddy, sunscreen, bug spray, shorts and top that can get wet. Hat optional. Pretty good tree cover throughout. Carry water in a pack or otherwise hands free, and just take your phone out of your pocket before you jump in the water. I’d sweated through my clothes so I jumped in the water fully dressed.

Bring a towel and a change of clothes and shoes to leave in the van so you have something comfortable to wear for lunch and the ride back to San Juan.

Again, Andre was an amazing tour guide. He anticipated our needs and was thorough with his directions. I can’t overemphasize what a great atmosphere Andre created for our group- the van ride, the music, storytelling, fresh fruit, cold water pre and post hike, changing tents post hike, bakery, amazing lunch, and overall warmth. Thank you so much Andre!

A magical hiking adventure unlike anything I have ever experienced. You gotta be ready for the outdoors and willing to hike - and it is so worth it. A wonderful tour guide, gorgeous scenery, fun, challenging hiking, and amazing food. We had so much fun.
You CANNOT pass this up!

We booked this tour 2-3 weeks ago when we were in San Juan and WOW... I cannot express how perfect this turned out. We were picked up 15 minutes away from our Airbnb (walking) and taken deep into the country and natural rainforest of Puerto Rico. Andre took us to a PRIVATE nature reserve that no one else in Puerto Rico is allowed in. Over the course of the 4-5 hour hike we saw 4 different waterfalls and jumped into several natural springs. All of this + a day of beautiful hiking & free mango (probably the juiciest and most delicious mango I've ever personally tasted) what more could I have asked for for $80. You CANNOT PASS THIS UP!
5 star experience from beginning to end

Andre is a really great tour guide. Even before the tour there was a lot of communication about weather updates and if we felt comfortable moving forward with a slight chance of rain during the day. I'm definitely glad we did go through with the adventure since there was no rain during the tour. It was a super fun experience and the highlight of our vacation in PR. The coffee during the morning was amazing and gave us the needed energy for the hike.

The hike itself was great, everything went smoothly and exactly like Andre explained it to us before we started so we knew what to expect. Every time we got to a waterfall and got to jump in the natural water pools felt like coming back to life and very revitalizing to continue hiking and getting to some more great spots. We also had some fresh fruit while on one of the pools and I can't really express how good it was. If you get lucky during the season (like we did) you might even get some passion fruit on the way ;)

Food after the hike was delicious and much needed after a lot of calories burnt!

Overall an amazing experience with great views and a great guide. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys hiking and nature. Looking forward to doing some more tours with Andre, he will be our go-to guy whenever we're back in PR.
Great hiking, sights and swimming-and the fruit he brought along was great too!

The rainforest was beautiful, with Andre our host pointing out many different flowers and trees. All were exquisite
The waterfalls and their pools that formed at the base were a welcome sight after hiking. The cool water was so refreshing to swim in afterwards
Andre was a fantastic host and guide!
